Nokia Lumia Exclusive Camera Extras And PlayTo Now Available On Windows Phone Marketplace

It is June 22nd and, as previously posted, that means the recently announced Camera Extras and PlayTo applications are now available on the Windows Phone marketplace. We remind you, these two new applications are Nokia Lumia exclusive, and are now a part of the growing Nokia Collection of applications on the Windows Phone. Therefore, if you do have a Nokia Lumia Windows Phone, be sure to check out the quick information on each application below, followed by download links.

The Camera Extras application does download as an application, but is actually integrated within the Windows Phone camera application. PlayTo is not integrated and downloads as a new application in itself. Just a heads up.

By the way, if you are located in China (or have access to the China Windows Phone marketplace at least), the Counters applications is also available for you to download on your Nokia Lumia device. The Counters application (also part of the Nokia Collection) will be available for all other countries in July.

Camera Extras

This new camera app enhances your smartphone’s camera considerably. It adds new settings that will allow you to take pictures that you’ve never been able to take before.

• Smart Group Shot: Capture great group shots in just one attempt by choosing the best faces from a burst
• Action Shot: Capture fast-moving action shots with just one click and significantly improved shooting speed
• Panorama: This new control feature makes it easy to capture beautiful panorama shots by finding the image in the sequence
• Self-timer: Set up your Lumia on a stand and get yourself into more photos

This will be available in Marketplace for the US and China by June 22^nd. It will be available for all other countries in July.

PlayTo

Many of us now have several devices, such as a TVs or Blu-Ray players, connected to a network. PlayTo will allow you to share pictures, videos and music from your Lumia smartphone to other DLNA –enabled devices on your network.

PlayTo will be in Marketplace globally by June 22nd.
