The Wall Street Journal is reporting that we can expect to see Windows Phone 7 launch on October 11, and AT&T will start selling devices on the OS in November. This isn’t exactly news, but it confirms rumors that we’ve been hearing for a week or so now. The WSJ’s sources are pegging the launch to be centered around New York, with satellite events elsewhere. This is a bit different from what we’d been lead to believe from other sources, as the general opinion is that this will be a European focused launch, with London possibly being the center of the event,
