WP Bench is exactly what the name suggests, a benchmarking application. It is the first and only one available for Windows Phone 7 and despite having zero competition, it is quite good. For the most part, phones will all have similar benchmarks as all the WP7 devices have similar specifications. The video above from WPCentral, shows the benchmark running on the Focus, Quantum and Arrive. There are not any surprises but it is worth a watch to see the small differences when the phones are compared to each other. It is a free application so let us know in the comments below or in the forums on how your phone scores on WP Bench.

I’m curious if this can help us figure our which microSD cards might actually be compatible with the focus and other devices. I still have that 32gb stick sitting on my damn desk waiting to get used…
“. It is the first and only one available for Windows Phone 7…” This is not actually true. There is an application which was in the marketplace earlier called Benchmark.
Thanks, I will edit that later.
Strange that none of the Windows Phone 7 sites noticed that. It isn’t exactly the same style of benchmarking though as it runs a variety of different benchmarks like Linpack etc.
