Good news on the app front. As of today, there are 1,000 apps available in the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace. We certainly expected there to be 1,000 apps by the US launch and now they’ve hit that number with time to spare. More importantly, there appears to be a healthy selection of quality apps. It’s no where close to the 100,000 apps touted in the Android Market, but we’ll see if the current crop is sufficient enough to meet the needs of new buyers. Facebook, Twitter and a good selection of games isn’t a bad place to start.

Bloomberg app is a must have. Once WP7 gets a Visual Voicemail and a Bloomberg New app, I’m picking one up the next day. iPhone contract ends Nov 14.
Lima Sky emailed me and they say Doodle Jump will be made for WP7.
Visual voicemail, customizable ringtones and cut and paste should be FIRST on their list of apps. Its not the quantity, but the quality – their apps market is a joke. They’ve got 7 more days to get it together then it’s back to Android for me.
