Mark you calendars, boys and girls, Windows Phone 7 is officially launching on October 11, and it’ll take place in New York City, starting at 3PM. Even though AT&T is pegged to be the major carrier at launch, T-Mobile will showing their devices after the event, rather then Ma Bell, and the event description mentions that “T-Mobile reps will be present for device showing and their service offering discussion” at 3:30PM.
I guess even though we’re expecting the platform to go on sale outside of America first, considering that the vast majority of tech journalists are based in America, it’s wise to hold your launch events Stateside.
