Game creation platform Unity today announced support for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. David Helgason, the companies CEO, made the announcement at Unite 2012 in Amsterdam. According to Helgason, 53 percent of mobile game developers have published games utilizing Unity and there was a growing demand for Windows Phone 8 tools.
“The Unity community has been asking for access to Windows Phones and have been eagerly anticipating the release of Windows 8. We’re happy to announce that we will support both.”
Great for developers, great for users. This is a win, win. No word on when this will become available, but we’ll let you know if we hear anything.
