Sprint LTE Windows Phone In The Works?

According to SprintFeed, Sprint has started plans for the development of an LTE Windows Phone that will debut on the network in fall of 2012. Sources indicate the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor.

It’s still unclear as to the manufacturer being this new LTE Windows Phone, but they are apparently targeting this device as a Windows Phone Apollo release. Sounds to us as though Sprint just skipped Mango and Tango all together.

There aren’t too many details in this report, but it wouldn’t surprise us. Windows Phone 8 will be a big deal and an LTE Windows Phone on Sprint would do well for them. Here’s hoping…
