No Nokia WP7 Phones Until End Of Year

According to the Guardian, those gorgeous Nokia concepts we’ve been drooling over might not land for a very long time. See, Nokia isn’t jumping on board the Windows Phone bandwagon until Mango comes out, which isn’t planned to happen until October at the earliest. Apparently, Elop has been very careful only to mention “Windows Phone” not “Windows Phone 7,” plus his caginess about a timeline has people thinking that they’re not going to join the party until a later version of the OS, probably WP7.5. An October launch of Mango means that the Nokia phones won’t land until a bit after that — late 2011 or early 2012. Don’t hold your breath, folks, this might take a while.

I don’t think this conclusion – “An October launch of Mango means that the Nokia phones won’t land until a bit after that — late 2011 or early 2012.” – is valid.

OEM will receive Mango somewhat sooner than the public, for sure.
