which version of the beta did you use? the first was quite slow, but the last (2 I think) versions have sped up quite a bit.

Is there a link to DL the AOL IM? I saw the story on the front page but there was no link to DL on the AOL page.

Edit: Nevermind, my adblocker was hiding the getting started button. Wow this thing runs slow.

I use jivetalk. Works great. Uses about 2mb of ram. I let it run for an entire day in the background was still at three bars after 24 hours.

I had used Octro for the reason of IM being saved in Gmail.
The Fring came along. I liked the Voip feature especially being able to chat via phone with my GTalk buddies.

Reading this thread I decided to give Slick a shot.

But the file that I downloaded throws me a 'not made for this system..error'.

Can someone point/link me to the correct cab file to get slick up and running for a 'kick the tyres'??

    R J

    Update:

Got it from here: Slick for WM6

how is it only using 2 mbs of ram??? mine clearly uses around 9-10 mbs of ram... and eats battery like its going out of style... in 30 minutes of use, i'll go through about 7-10% of battery. ON IDLE!

are you using the latest version???
