My primary use for it is for lowering the screen brightness when reading something at night or while driving with the GPS on at night.

What kind of GPS do you have on your Q? Is it one that will let people "find" you?

No, I have an external bluetooth GPS receiver that allows the Q with its data plan to locate and display my position on a map on the Q's screen. Specifically Microsoft Live search for mobile is the application most people will recomend, and it is the one I use.

It is handy while driving to see what street you are on or see that an exit is coming up.
