Help! Software to block incoming calls
So, over the past 3 weeks, i've been getting a wrong number from the same number, about every other day. Its getting annoying, its like the guy cant figure out not to dial my freaking number. Anyways, ive seen software like "call firewall", but i've seen mixed reviews on that, and their website is down. Anyone try "call firewall", or another call blocking app, and have it work well?
Please Help!
Thanks!

Rudeboy - Do you know whether any of the titles at either of those locations will let me block a given number? I've looked at something (can't remember the name right now) that I didn't get because it would only work at the top level -- if a number wasn't in my contacts, it would block them. That won't work for me because I use the phone on my job and obviously can't know everyone who might call.
I'm getting scam calls from +50622313055, offering to lower the interest rate on a credit card but then they want ME to give THEM my credit card information. Riiiiight. And monkeys might fly out, etc. If you google 506-223 you'll see several pages of results about similar numbers that are suspect. You'll also see that some people think the calls are coming from Indonesia. Others are also reporting similar 11-digit numbers in caller ID, like the one above.
I've waited and talked to a rep (sounds like someone speaking American English) and told them to take my number of their list. One time the guy went off on me and called me stupid for not wanting to take advantage of their offer, and I've also been hung up on as soon as I tell them I recognize their scam.
It's gotten old and I'd like to just block the number, although realistically they apparently have several numbers they use. Still, the only one that's shown up on my phone is that one above.
If I knew of an agency to report them to, I'd do it, but to the best of my knowledge the Do Not Call registry only applies to land-line phone service and besides, I'm sure those scumbags couldn't care less about telemarketing laws.
So, having vented a bit (sorry about that), if anyone can recommend software that's not too expensive, is known to work on the Q9c, and can block calls by number instead of by whether they're in your contacts, please share.

I got that crap also a while ago untill I answered the phone like...state police, captain moralis speaking. never got another call. you can try calling your provider and have them block it. I did that with the 5 digit text messages.

I've been having the same problem, calling 3-4 times per day and won't remove my number from their list.
Callfirewall didn't work on my phone, I just got an error.
So, I downloaded the trial version of Call Block Pocket PC today and so far it has blocked that call twice. And I tested calling from my daughter's phone and it didn't block her call, so its working for my purposes.
I don't know how long the trial will work, or if it will work indefinitely. I did get an error after setting up the blocked number, says "Error reading device name" but that's probably because its not registered. But besides that error, its working fine so far. You are supposed to have an "allow list" but I dont see that on the trial, just a place to add to the block list.
You have an option of pick up and hang up or just hang up. I chose just hang up (so I don't use a minute of airtime everytime they call).
The zip file had 3 folders, one for WM2003, WM5 and WM6.

If this program continues to work well, I think I'm going to spend the $9.95 for the full version.
