**EDIT**
Ok.. I edited this post to make it real easy for anyone to do. The original directions (not from me) for doing this came from this thread:
http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=148801
Here are my really simple directions that don't even require a computer.
Step1: Install TCPMP 0.72RC1. To do this run Pocket Internet Explorer on your phone and type this url: http://tinyurl.com/wafj8. When prompted to download click Yes. When prompted to install click "Install". At the end of the install it will give you a message about the program being made for an older version of WM. Don't be alarmed, it will work fine.
Step2: Install the YouTube plugins for TCPMP and Pocket IE version 1.1. To do this just run Pocket Internet Explorer on your phone and type this url: http://tinyurl.com/36ntkl. Answer all the prompts the same way you did in Step1.
Step3: Reset the phone by pulling the battery and then plugging it back in.
Step4: Run Pocket IE and goto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeAjDY8XjcI and watch my superstar 7 month old son stand for the first time.
Best video on YouTube. hehe.
BTW, you can't make fun of my wifes silly laugh in the background. "hahehahaheha".
Oh.. one more thing. If you don't see the Ev icon at the top of your homescreen on the Q then don't expect it to have enough bandwidth to play the videos smoothly.. if play at all.
Have fun!
Edit: New plugin version 1.2. Do Step2 again for the new version.

You search for a video just like you would on the PC. Then you just click the link to the video and it pops up in TCPMP and starts streaming. This lets you play all YouTube videos unlike the iPhone which only plays YouTube's limited selection of mobile videos at
m.youtube.com.

http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=148801 there is a big ass thread on youtube workaround already...located here
not sure if this one works differently...since it has a different file than the other post

That thread is talking about m.youtube.com which has a very limited selection of videos that YouTube transcoded for mobile use.. Or should I say for iPhone use.
This method I posted is for the full blown YouTube site. It is very easy to install. Just launch the cab file to install TCPMP and then launch the other cab file to install the PIE/TCPMP plugins. Then run PIE and browse to www.youtube.com and then click on any video and it starts playing.
No copying of files into the windows directory and all that crap.. You just run the fully automated install programs and your done. The setup is dummy proof.

I just timed it. I typed a search in and then clicked search. It took 18secs to render the list of videos. The video list is very easy to navigate with the view set to "Default" in IE. You just scroll up and down.. no left and right. Then I clicked on one of the videos and it took about 12secs to launch in TCPMP and start playing. That 12secs includes buffer time and all that. That is from the time I clicked the link to the time I see video playing.
Keep in mine I am running EvDO Rev0. The Q doesn't run RevA unfortunately.

Oh.. yeah.. the post I linked to isn't really specific to WM smartphone. You just need to install the smartphone version of TCPMP. The rest of the directions are generic to any WM device. Sorry I should have mentioned that. I already had TCPMP installed so I didn't even think about it.
Here is a link to the smartphone version of TCPMP:
