Well just an update...
I GOT IT TO WORK!!!
I googled ClockOnTop and started reading some other sites and their explainations on how to install and it worked.
Before I was just placing the .cab and .lnk on my SD in a folder, running them in the correct sequence and for some reason it never worked.
The thread I read said to place the .cab and .lnk in the My Docs folder on the DEVICE, running them in the same sequence as before and it worked.....
Well Im glad I finally got it working but anyone know why running the files from the device rather than SD would make a difference?
im afraid to answer since im not very tech savvy....glad u got it though!
I don't feel like reading tonight, so can someone tell me if 12:00 is still 0:00?

I got this today and like the feature. I stopped wearing a watch when my last one broke so my phone became my timepiece. lol
But it sucked having to go back to the home screen to see what time it was so this is great for me.
Hopefully some may find this info useful...
In reading the writer's posts, I noticed that he renamed it with the latest version. He's calling it TopClock now. A quick google search for gave a chinese webpage for the guy's homepage. There is a newer version that supports a few command line parameters. Google for "topclock smartphone" and do a google translate on this page "huangda1982.googlepages.com/topclock"
Of course the translation is so-so, but good enough to get the latest version and see what the parameters are:
Command-line parameter:
-hide - Do not show hide launch window, the default window for the display.
-12 - To 12 hours of the time in 24-hour system to the default display.
-color #XXXXXX - color RGB color values specified, the default color for the automatic.
For example command line parameters:
"\Program Files\TopClock\TopClock_QVGA.exe" -12
Color display with automatic p.m. the time when they start window.
"\Program Files\TopClock\TopClock_QVGA.exe" -color # 0000ff-hide
Pure blue to show the time, does not display window startup.
I tried to clean that up as best I could, hope it's understandable. The font of the clock has changed slightly, but I'll put up with it to have the clock on the bar.
It's also changed to just a straight executable place on the Q. Running it starts the program and has some garbage characters on the screen (maybe just on mine though). Left soft key on the startup screen appears to activate it and right soft key deactivates it.
Now, my question... how the heck do you modify a shortcut/link in the startup folder? It starts up fine with the shortcut I created, but I want to be able to pass it the -hide parameter so it doesn't show the startup screen when i turn on the phone.
-- Update --
Just noticed there are two versions out there...
TopClock_WM5_STD.exe
TopClock_WM5_QVGA.exe
The QVGA version seems to have a better font on the bar for my Q9c .
