    Alarm Master - new release...

We just released new version of our flagship application Alarm Master. This tool helps to manage personal alarms and reminders on your smartphone. It's key features are simple and convenient user interface, comprehensive time engine, flexible sound and playback configuration, different alarm layouts, headers history, icon selection and other features...

In fact, new version is a big step from previous one. The most important additions are:

    - New time engine. Alarm Master doesn't require a module 'cttmengine.exe' to be always in the memory anymore.

    - Separate sound settings for alarms. Although you still can define common sound and playback settings, now you can set individual melody and other sounds and playback parameters for separate alarms.

    - Automatic layout selection. There is no field for alarm-clock or alarm note selection anymore. Instead, Alarm Master detects the type of the alarm automatically.

    - Early Dismiss feature. This convenient feature allows you to dismiss the forthcoming alarm in advance.

    - Ability to respect current profile settings. Depending on alarm importance, now you can select whether alarm should respect current sound profile or ignore it.

    - Status icons. Special small icons in the alarm list are used to display the status of the alarms.

    - Smart snooze intervals, new sorting options, extended sound file selection and many other additions were implemented in this Release.

You can find more information on the product page. A free trial version is also available.

Is there a free update for current users? If not, I'll stick with the previous version, it works flawlessly.

Sorry, no, because this is major update and we really invest a lot of time and efforts in it. Of course, we deliver free upgrades for all minor updates. However I must say that the upgrade price for our major updates is always kind a "nominal": about $2-$3..

We provide free upgrades to our beta-tester, or other guys how helped us in any form, for example with posting good reviews/articles etc.

I just installed the trial version last night. So far it works pretty good! It's loaded down with options.

    Thanks,
    Buddy

I have to take my initial statement about not wanting to upgrade back... this upgrade is DEFINITELY worth the $3.00

After tinkering with all of the new options, I believe you guys have really improved the overall operation of the app. I didn't think it could get any better but you have really proven me wrong.

Thanks once again...oh I love the new icons!

Funny you write that after they offer you a free upgrade, really makes your 'endorsement' kind of worthless.

    "It's not worth it"

(We'll give you the upgrade for free)

"I take it back, it's worth it"

For a free upgrade you could at least list exactly what you liked about it so those curious about whether or not to do so could get some insight before installing the trial (which will wipe out their current alarms).

Hopefully that post gets you another free upgrade though. Not trying to come off as a jerk or sound bitter, but come on... don't make it so obvious why you changed your mind.

That said, I paid for the upgrade (whopping $2.95) and although I'd love to disagree - it is worth it. For me, the kicker was being able to terminate an alarm early instead of having to disable it (then remember to re-enable it later). It's not often, but on occasion I get up before my alarm clock, this feature should come in real handy.

In my intital post I never said it "wasn't worth it" I said, the version I use currently "works flawlessly" so I didn't feel the need to upgrade. Why fix something that is not broke? My last post stated that I was wrong in thinking that it could not be improved beyond what I used because to me..."it worked flawlessly" before. Its just an alarm app what could you possibly do to make it any better? For that thinking, I was wrong. It had nothing to do with $3.00 damn dollars.

    READING IS FUNDAMENTAL.

I never said you posted that, I merely posted how I took it based on the events that followed.

The only thing I quoted was your changed enthusiasm once a free upgrade was offered.

The trial version would have shown you what it had to offer, as well as their website listing all the upgrades and new features.

    Reading IS fundamental.

I could care less if you paid or not, and for $3 who would... I just found it funny how your mind changed instantly once you did get it for free, then started endorsing it right away.
