for text messages there is GroupSMS.. it's on my apps page.

So I saved the Group SMS file to my SD card but when I try to access it through file manager it says there is no application associated with it. What did I do wrong?

I have to agree. GroupSMS is a great app. Like rudeboy said, did you actually install it or not?
