    zaDesktop

Hello all! My version of zaDesktop quit working and is telling me it's expired. I thought it was freeware and wouldn't expire :( Can anyone tell me where to get a version/copy that won't expire? Thanks in advance!

It's definitely not free-ware and you won't find any discussions on this forum of where to obtain "free" versions.

The moto is, if you like it buy it.

Uh.... zaDesktop IS freeware! It's RDP software. I contacted the author and he updated the software this afternoon then posted it on the zaTelnet site. It seems that when the year changed to 2009 it caused a problem with the software.

Once again, I don't use pirated software. The app is freeware :)

    Looks like FREEWARE to me.

Geez, guys, lighten up. He never said "where can I get the pay version for free". Sheesh... :tounge:

How's it work on the Q, Oncebitten?

It works great and I use it almost every day. That's why I was freaked when the year changed and it stopped working, but the author of it had it fixed within about an hour of me contacting him. I recommed his software and if I had a need for his 'commercial' software I would definitely buy from him.

Is it sad that I took a look, thought it was very neat, then realized the only thing I would do is truly to play minesweeper per the screenshots?

LOL it's not that sad. I use it to connect to my work desktop and from there I can access our corporate UNIX server. It's an awesome piece of software :)

I think I am going to try it either way as it looks awesome. How does it connect? I would imagine I will need an IP Address to use it? My concern is I am through so many different bridges and routers I might not be able to get to the PC I'm trying to connect to.

Yea, I actually had second thoughts, too. Do I really need yet another way for my employer to get me to work?!? LOL
