i got the text but still havent gotten the transcript in an email...
went in my Youmail settings and Text Message Alerts were set to none.. dunno how that happened, so switched it to Enhanced and did get a transcript + a notification sms (i use to get only the transript).. like you i did not get an email...
perhaps an email to them is in order
1. man kid
2. pay phone is too cumbersome I cant lift it.
Looks like you got the problem fixed tho
done and got reply.. there were some glitches between Youmail and some carriers... hopefully that is also the reason for the emails we are not getting at the moment..
1. would have never guessed that... well, maybe i would but it could have taken some time :}
2. wuss :}
well atleats they know about it!
indeed... and my earlier comment about the Text Message Alerts being set to none, that was the correct setting... i don't want the sms stating that i missed a call yet i do want the transcription.
it's a great bunch of folks at Youmail)
i have it set to notify me by text and send the transcript in email
i get the text but no email
I've been using Youmail for a few years now and one thing that amazes me is the caller ID ability. For some reason, whenever I get a text notification, It ALWAYS displays the name of every number that leaves a message. It's amazing! It shows company names (even through complex extensions/pbx that my landline caller ID just shows "private") and names of the cellular owner. For reference, all the types of numbers I just referenced doesn't show the caller ID name as it just shows "UNKNOWN." How is that possible? Do they have some fancy caller ID technology that regular landlines don't use?
i dont know how they do that but i think its great...
for those people not on my list and dont want to pick up it tells me who..
and by "tells me" you mean on the screen correct ?
(ps. Marc said it should all be back to normal again, i have not yet tried it myself..)
by tells me i mean when i get the text of the voicemail it says who was calling or what company it was even if it wasnt in my contacts
good to hear...ill test that out soon
*relieved*... good, for a moment there i thought you found software to announce the number/caller, and you did not share with us, and that i had to drive all the way to NJ to kick your ass... you & your shenanigans :}
and yes.... it's very accurate.
thats some crazy shenanigans right there!:laugh2:
(see how i just did that right there)
and some witty banter in return :}
(look, i did it too)
....well played sir
and Youmail is all good to go again, yippie !
i didnt retest it but i guess you did
got a couple of voice mails over the weekend and received both the sms and email so....
ah ok that works too!
