    Yahoo Y-go 3.0 Beta

Yahoo Y-go v3.0 Beta is apparently available now... has anyone loaded it.. does it work ok, better than v2 ? Any thoughts ? I am still trying to figure out how to send a pic with my MotoQ and not having any luck. every time I load email, it omits the "attach" option. so I guess 2 questions here.. is Y-go v3 beta ok to load, and... does anyone have solutions for how to send pics ? thanks, Dan

I've tried several ways... taking a pic and then trying to select send to via.... from within a text message as an attachment ..... and through Yahoo IMAP (accessed through the messaging function). Yahoo worked for about a week, I could open an email message and attach and send, then yahoo would no longer allow the "attach" option. I can still receive a message with an attachment, and forward that message with the attachment, but not attach my own.

Then I loaded y-go.. same thing at first I could send attachments, now the option is no longer there.

And (Yahoo IMAP will not send at all now.. I've deleted and reloaded it several times. It will receive but not send... anything.)

    I am very frustrated.

Well I've just installed the Yahoo 2 Go 3.0 Beta as it now works on the Moto Q. I could have just jumped on this late but I don't think so as I did a search!

I think it quicker and smoother than the 2.0, not that I've had chance to play with it much. One nice touch, although not really relevant when you have unlimited data, is the fact that when you log out it tells you how much data you've used in the session!

Did you install Yahoo Go 2 or Yahoo Go 3 Beta? I'm confused.

If you did 3, where'd you get it, the webpage doesn't list it as available for the Q yet.

I installed it but I didn't like it. Unfortunately it doesn't appear on the Remove Programs list. It's the yahoo version of Hotel California.

I just checked and it definitely appears in my Add/Remove programs list. I'm going to keep playing with it. I like it so far!

Yahoo Go 3 & pics question

yeah, I actually stumbled on it last night and loaded it.. seems to work fine.. like part of it.. don't like that it runs explorer.. now I lose my explorer page if I start Yahoo3.. but that is easy to get back.

Still am really upset that I can't send a picture from my moto to another phone. Any ideas on how to do that... Yahoo won't let me attach (although it did briefly when I first loaded.. now the option is gone and I can't find an alternative.)

I think that is my main need currently.. to send a pic, phone to phone... and I can't get around it...

LEt me know if you have any ideas...
    Dan

    sMMS

Ok, I fall into the category of not being able to set the clock on the microwave !! So what is sMMS, is that an option my settings, a service from SPRINT ? I have the "vision pack" thing from Sprint that is supposed to support that. Any help you can offer is appreciated.

1st)Sprint does not offer "MMS" which is the ability to send pics (or video) from one phone to another, however you can send pics & video by way of email. This is the only option for pic sending for you Sprinters.

2nd)If you register with flickr, you will be able to manage your pics online or on your phone through yahoo go. You can actually take pics with your phone and upload them to flickr through yahoo go. Its pretty cool. :2cool:

3rd)I'm on Verizon, and I've never heard of sMMS there is only - SMS(Text), and MMS(Pics&Video). Maybe that was a typo or something unique to Sprint, I don't know?

    Hope this helps
