    XML edit help needed

I edited in a voicemail line to a layout I created with HomescreenBuilder, but as you can see in the screenshot, when there is a voicemail, the voicemail line appears but forces the date and time plugin to be below the soft keys...

What would I need to adjust to keep the date/time still on the screen?

I know I can simply move the date and time up higher with HomescreenBuilder and then edit in the voicemail option again, but I really didn't want the date/time plugin blocking the image.....

I hope I'm making sense with my question...
Any help would be appreciated guys,,,Thanks.

not sure i am understanding it... so the voice mail line is not only showing when there is a voice mail ? and that is how you want it ? you might be able to set the maximum length for that plug-in..

Yeah, if there is no voicemail, then it doesn't show and the date/time plugin is visible on the homescreen (Like the first screenshot).

However, when I get a voicemail that line appears, but forces the date/time plugin off the bottom of the screen (Like the second screenshot).

Where should I insert the max length for the messages plugin? Any tutoring will be most welcome...

Below is what that part of the xml looks like...

i was re-thinking this earlier, and it's 2 plug-in next to each other so you might have to use Orange to allow 2 plug-ins on 1 line.

I see Orange mentioned a lot in regards to homescreens. Is it a certain homescreen builder as well? I googled it but came up with a sh*tload of Orange programs. Do they only have one homescreen program?

    BTW
I like your suggestion of putting the voicemail/ email plugin on the same line as the text message line...... Like the date & time plugin.

Orange is a mysterious plug-in with very limited help available... some goes as far as say it's illegal and should only be used on a Orange phone (Orange is a carrier..) anyway, it's on n99's app page.

amongst most likely more thing it allows the clock to be on the icon-bar and it also allows plug-ins to be on one line.

Hey Rudeboy, thanks for your input...I finally got it to how I'd like.... and no more issue with the date dropping below the menus bar when I get a voicemail...:tounge:
Just gotta add the time back in because SmartToolKit has been going haywire after I recieved a couple voicemails..not sure if they are related but STK is still turning out to be unstable...bummers..:frown: I really like STK.

Below is my finalized layout. Not the fanciest, but exactly how I wanted mine to be... And I did it all by editing plugins in, as well as adjusting font and max width. Didn't need Orange or Facade...cool

i have always found stk kinda buggy...i used an early version and just messed everything up...i guess the new version is better (but im happy with right menu)

but one thing that i do love is how the soft keys look...they look damn good

it makes me think...if these people can customize the look of it why hasnt anyone else made a program just do that?
i am by far no programmer but i wonder if there is a way just to get the look...kind of like there are custom homescreens! :tounge: you can have custom softkeys!

nah i think WM6 is what sanity uses...basically our soft key look but has a rounded look where as STK has a slightly sleeker look (in my opinon)

Yeah that screenshot had the STK soft keys bar... that's one of the main things I like about STK, it just looks so stylish..:2cool:

I mean the standard soft key bar isn't really that ugly, but it definitely is goofy looking..:tounge:

Anyways, it seems that STK is back to working perfectly again... althogh I haven't gotten ny more voicemails since. I'm actually starting to think that all the issues were possibly associated with the iGetFiles that I downloaded with PocketNesterPlus... But I'll address that in it's own thread... Caio
