I received notification that updates were available for my Focus. Downloaded and installed the first update seamlessly. Disconnected when the software said it was safe then reconnected the phone to my computer and Zune told me another update was available and I downloaded and installed the second update with out a single glitch. Good job Microsoft! Finally!

Still on my February Update. My Zune software needed updating, so I'm a bit behind.

    Updated my Zune software.
Had a small snag in installing Pre Nodo. Was stuck on Step 7.
Contacted winsupport. (I didn't have it plugged into the correct USB port.) Eh who know that mattered?
Well I'm on the NoDo now on step haha 7 again. Still going.

    Woooo finally.
Now give me my multi media texting:) :)

Hate to be a nay-sayer but I'm having serious difficulties. Day one purchaser, Samsung Focus. Got a timeout error on the first update, solution #1 did nothing, the support tool had a repeated fatal error, and now I can't even get Zune to reinstall. I'm really really frustrated and pissed off about this whole thing. I guess I'm most pissed that their own software to deal with errors, HAS IT'S OWN ERROR! Argh.

Microsoft has a list of possible errors and how to correct them, which might be helpful.

That's what I was talking about with "solution #1" I've worked my way through most of them. I REALLY don't want to wipe my phone because well...just makes me feel like I'm starting all over again. I hate that.

Mine notified me and I'm in the process of updating now. I already did this through the Chevron hack, so I'm happy that I can be "official" now with no glitches.

Ok! After completely uninstalling everything wp7 from my computer (zune and the update tool) redownloading them and reinstalling them it finally worked. Not until failing (after the re-installs) to preform a normal update through zune, and again failing MS solution #1. The update tool didn't error out anymore and it finally updated. Took about 4 hours of frustration. MAYBE noticed a 5% speed uptick, don't seem to have anymore typing hiccups (time will tell), haven't used the cut and paste, and I hope to eventually hear someone has been completely successful, post update, to get their 32GB Sandisk to work.

Question...What notifies you that there is an update for the OS?

Do I have to plug it into Zune to do so, or will my phone tell me? (Cause it hasn't, and I have the focus, so it should)?

I didn't notice a difference with "anti-shaking". Still snaps soon as you press. I was hoping it would wait for the accelerometer to be perfectly still. Doesn't.
