    would the recp. be better with a snub att.

    my question is would a snub stryle like whats on the treo give better recp in low areas over the Q's or does the snub ant. not help much

    My coworkers who have had both style of Treo said they did indeed get better reception strength with the short antenna.

    any one else have a thought in regards to the snub getting recp in low service areas. i travel and i notice areas where my wife gets good I get bad with the Q. Would a treo solve this

    My first though is, get the phone your wife has, then. Is it the same carrier?

    I had read somewhere about disabling the EVDO and forcing the Q to use "regular" protocols can help some people in some areas, as it doesn't fall back to "regular" sometimes when really the EVDO is pretty minimal.

    For me, the last 2 weeks have been fun as areas that were dead to me via CDMA actually have good EVDO signal!
