    WM6 built in search?

On my old Palm there is a global search key that let's me search across apps to, for example, find some text that is in a note attached to a contact or find something in the calendar.

From reading the forums I can gather that there is no such thing in WM and I have to buy a 3rd party app. Can someone confirm this?

If so, are there any freeware apps that do a global search?

TIA. Sorry for the newbie question. I'm coming from Palm and have to learn the M$ way now... :)

Yeah, I posted about this when i first got my q9h. This is why MS doesn't get it. They never will.

Blackberry, PalmOS, even apple you can search contacts, notes, calendar, whatever. Palm's 15 year old OS did it from day one. Really, WTF.

They just now added cut&paste like it was just f-ing invented.

Other than that I love my Q.

Well, I can totally sympathize with endobrian! Overall I like the Q but WM has some aspects that drive me crazy (and, in fairness, there are things I like a lot better than Palm)... I guess I'm getting off topic here so I'll post another topic about all the things I had to do with my Q to get it the way I wanted.

Anyone else who has a favorite device search program, please post details.

    TIA
    Sunil
