Is this going to delete my existing email accounts or reset the phone where I have to start over again with all installs?
    Thanks

For anyone wondering about the official MS release, they posted today that it just came out yesterday:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/outlook_mobile/archive/2008/11/12/wm-6-1-smtp-fix-released.aspx

    You can download it here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...2e-d2dd-44f2-86e5-1e53aad7fb7a&DisplayLang=en

(They also provide an absurdly long link to a CAB on that page so you can install it directly on a mobile device instead of through Activesync)

I have had the issue before so I installed it (it installed successfully), but I wasn't currently having the issue so I can't 100% verify that it fixes the problem. However, they do warn that if you have any messages that weren't able to send sitting in your outbox, they will get sent with the fix, so beware! :)

I loaded the patch the other day and today had to reload my yahoo account and to my surprise there was the 6.0 option of choosing the auto settings without putting in a gmaill.com addy. and now my account has (Imap) and the end. Just thought I would chime in
