WM 6.5 STD -- i want it in my Q9 Hello i found couple days ago emulator WM6.5 on microsoft site ... the new realace of system .... looks very nice but how to bulid rom for moto q9 :tounge: Look the screan shot :laugh2: maybe someone know how to dump the rom and extract XIP ?:2cool: chears :laugh2:
it's not likely to happen. Cooking a ROM isn't as easy for the Q series isn't as easy as it is for HTC phones. One of the best Chefs from PPC geeks is working on making a kitchen for the original Q and is apparently having some issues
One ATT store sales person said that most of the older version (5xx) WM phones, including the Q were able to take the 6.1 upgrade. He sees no reason why the Q9h Global won't be able to go from 6.1 to 6.5. I told him that from what I have read in forums, Microsoft apparently says that most current WM phones won't be able to upgrade to 6.5 as 6.5 needs a minimum of a 400 mhz processor. Other forumcomments were, it may take the upgrade but the 330 mhz processor on the Q will get bogged down. WM 6.5 looks pretty cool, but is it worth going to another phone that can handle it?
most of the benefits to 6.5 that I have experience with are related to the touch screen phones, or to apps that are added into the cooked roms that I have made or used.
Hello yes its true wm 6.5 seems to be the same as wm 6.1 but have new IE and WEDGET suport ..... Maybe some day we see WM6.5 on Q9, maybe someone bulid rom ....
no one other than Motorola has successfully built a ROM for a Q yet. The other thing is, from what I hear the Q's processor is a little slow for WM 6.5
Hello Hm In forum xda dev working fine with device with cpu at201mhz (TI OMAP 850) so moto Q9 has 96Mb ram and cpu 325Mhz The speed and memory shuld be enought to work fine with WM 6.5 STD not PRO . Maybe PRO has more requirements, but Look to wm 6.5 is similar to WM 6.1...
well, that makes sense. since in the 6.5 Pro they added inertial scrolling to pretty much everything. keep an eye over at PPCgeeks.com there's a guy working on a kitchen for the Q, although it may take a while, if he can get it working at all
I could at least use a ROM with the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack The HTC 6.5 update fixed an issue for a lot of users of the Kinoma Play app regarding Bluetooth AVCRP. Since we're stuck with the Widcomm stack I'm still having issues. Perhaps a 6.5 cooked ROM would fix this.
This better not turn out to be another "I have wifi on my Q9h!!!!" thread. @skiwi Do you have a link?

could be htc phones at leastpossible, but it also may not be screenshots from a Q. WM 6.5 standard kitchens have been out for some time for
