WM 6.1 error stating something changed

I am getting an error constantly on my Q9C when I unlock it saying that something has changed and I need to restart the device.

I just installed 6.1 yesterday. I restarted it about 15 times.

Please let me know if you had this problem and how it was fixed.
    THanks

    The exact message is:

    RESTART
Recent changes to your device require a restart. During this process you cannot make or receive phone calls, including emergency call. Restart your device now?

The 2 options at the bottom are:

    Now and Later

The only thing that is on the device is my exchange email stuff. I am using active sync.

Hate to say it, but have you tried a master reset? Since the only thing on it is your email, maybe it won't be too painful.

So did it let you do the Master Reset? Did you get the confirmation asking if you REALLY wanted to reset?

    "a new Q" as in original Q OR Q9 ????

If your phone is an original Q . . . THAT'S your problem - 6.1 will produce ALL sorts of problems on that phone. Sorry, man, if this is the case. -RIP

Is he allowed to say that on this board? Just kidding.

Hopefully he is, too, for his own sake. :2cool:

Man, called Verizon, visited the store, etc...

Verizon asked me to call Microsoft and they wanted to charge me. This is frustrating! I just want the message to go away. Is there any hacks to supress that message? Someone else has to have seen this issue!

For kicks and giggles, try the Master Reset again. Do it first by powering up with the center silver button pushed down, and then do it again by going to start/system tools/master reset.

Since you don't have too much set up on phone, it shouldn't be too bad...

I really think this is an windows mobile 6.1 and exchange 2007 issue. if you have these and you don't get this message, then I would be interested to see what you did.
