Windows XP (or Vista... I guess)

Hi all. Can someone point me in the direction of a thread that might have something to make my home screen run like a PC? (What I mean is the standard "start" button in the lower left when clicked will bring up options for programs or messaging. Things like that.)
I'm not sure if anything like this exists or if it would even be an HS or an app. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

I think Smarttoolkit is the closest option. Though to make it look like Vista TaskBar you'll need to choose that skin in the settings.

Search the forum, there is a thread about Smarttoolkit and how to set version 8 to run smoothly.

cool.... it freezes the Q and causes weird behavior, but hey if it works for you, great.

Well, obviously I've only had it for a little bit and haven't exactly "tooled" around in it too much, but my first reaction was "sweet".
And it hasn't frozen up anything... yet.Unsure

It most likely will freeze up at one point or another. Definitely look for the thread that discusses it. There are a few modifications (simple settings kind of stuff) that have helped it run for me smoothly.

I noted a couple things on Rainmakerr's Apps page. I can't remember the wording, but something about deleting the task and something else. I'll look for the other posts too. Good lookin' out.

Dern he beat me to it :)
    STK is a timebomb.

I used rightmenu and have it on the left button.
I have the folders, or popups as it's called in the program, arranged like on my desktop.
I also use a scaled down Vista wallpaper.

But I use HTC Home and "ruin" the whole effect q:
