I read someplace, you have to install some vista control panel first. don't know if that is fact or fiction.

Windows Mobile Device Center needs to be installed in Vista.

It worked great for me! Still reloading everything... uugggghhh...
Can't get my Outlook email to work for some reason.

I can say that the new home-screen is sweet... I deleted PointUI for it.

    Here's a video (AVI) of the new WM6.1 Home-Screen!

Who's gonna be the first to modify it!?!?

I've got Sprite Backup right now... Is there any chance that it or any or program would be able to back up the current texts I have?

I have a bunch of texts on there I cherish and would love to just have some copy of them somewhere--doesn't have to be on my phone, but I'd like to be able to look back at them. Thoughts?

It does work. I'm using Vista and just updated my Q9C to 6.1. Go here, download the software update, connect your phone, and the rest will take place: http://direct.motorola.com/hellomot...ata Cable&chkwarranty=true&hdnShowPage=second

It did NOT delete my contacts. But I need to reinstall all programs. Not sure if I need to redo all the hacks.

It's a total of 8.61MB. Open zip and it will open exe file and then plug in your phone.

Should be able to take it into a sprint store and have them do it for you.
