FYI, the ROM they just released for the MOGUL fixed a lot. The MOGUL is very stable now and now has REV A and GPS. The community complained and they fixed it.
After this fix, the headphone adapter wouldn't work without surgery, and the internet would lock up; all known problems in the forums. Rev A, yeah OK and GPS - none of which I needed. I lost functionality for my uses, which is why I (upgraded) to the Q9. Mogul is a great device, and surprising great battery life, but the Q9 does everything I need it to do (everything the Mogul did) more simply and reliably.
not until 6.1 is released and it screws peoples Q's up and people wonder why they released its so soon... ha -Sent from my Q
Look^ a reasonable post (even though the "Q10" won't have WM7 unless it's not going to be out for an incredibly long time) The most successful way of getting the new software is to get new hardware...
just my .02, I wrote an email to ecare and took the survey. took me 6mins tops. Took me longer to read through this thread than to do it. So here's the bottom line. If you would like the upgrade (like myself) beg/plead/ and ask for the upgrade. It might just happen. But stop the bickering. I'm here for useful sound advice. and I got that in the first 2 pages
not much advice can happen by begging either i dont consider it bickering...i consider it reality -Sent from my Q
Howdy Boe; haven't run across that moniker for a while - I've been at the PPCGeeks forums, but now with a Q9c
A nice review of WM6.1 (Standard and Professional) was posted at pocketnow.com this morning. Here's the link if anyone's interested: http://pocketnow.com/index.php?a=portal_detail&t=reviews&id=1050 Of course, whether will get it on our Q's is anyone's guess. It would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath or anything . . .

E-Care Sprint Original Message Follows: ------------------------ Hello, I was told a while back by Sprint representatives, that Sprint was going to push Windows Mobile 6.1 to the Moto Q9C. Is this still true and when can we expect a ROM update? Thanks!
It appears to be official as of noon today. The Q9c will be getting the Windows Mobile 6.1 love... :2cool: Microsoft just announced the upgrade at CTIA. http://www.engadget.com/2008/04/01/microsoft-announces-windows-mobile-6-1-device-upgrades/ Q and Q9m owners appears to be out of luck, they are not on the list. Either that or Engadget has scored a big time April Fool's prank! (doubt it) Edit: well, if it is a joke then Microsoft is in on it as well: http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2008/apr08/04-01WM61PR.mspx According to the MS post, IE gets Flash, H.264 and Silverlight support. nice...
This better not be a joke... unfortunately even if its not, they don't announce WHEN the upgrade will come.
The Microsoft page says 3Q 2008 for upgrades and 4Q 2008 for new devices with it embedded. But it's not clear to me from the post if they are talking about just the new IE or if they are referring to the entire update.
