Where does the ActiveSync phone name reside?

I have done the Master Reset three times now, and somehow ActiveSync renames the phone. Right now it is WM_Bill1. Yesterday it was WM_Bill. How can I give the phone my own name?

It was much easier to just call him from work than to answer the post...

How is that better than Settings, More, More, More, Device Name?

Windows Mobile already has a Bluetooth Name, and a Device Name. Is there an advantage to having more names?

Okay, so sktools also changes the Device name another way. I think I finally understand, thanks.

Used to be AS assigned a name when you set up a partnership based upon PC username. Haven't looked lately.
