    Other Useful Apps....

I believe I have installed JUST the VGA apps, when I had the choice.

    I forgot to metion something.....
VITAL to make a Dashwire account before you switch. I couldn't do it cuz I didnt have a smartphone so I had to move my contacts manually (sending via bluetooth), cuz I didnt wanna go to the stupid Verizion store. Dashwire will back up all your contacts, pictures, etc. Must set up the acct online 1st. www.dashwire.com
Then download the software onto your phone from your phone.

If you are verizon....i did NOT set up the VZAppZone. That takes up a lot of memory to install. Even though most of what i installed was onto a 8GB MicroSDHC Card.

If you are looking for a good MP3 player, I downloaded Lonley Cat Games LCD Jukebox. http://www.lonelycatgames.com/?app=lcgjukebox
The interface is GREAT. Also, when you are using the player, there is a mini version that pops up on your Today Screen.
See attached - bottom Right - Purple Box.

At first the bluetooth didnt connect when playing music. I wasnt sure why. However, I found a copy of BTMusic 1.0 beta 5 that worked just great. It also has A2DP support. After installing this, I had no problem connecting music and other sounds to my Bluetooth.

    Ringtones and Notification Sounds....
This was a bit challenging at 1st....I couldnt just create folders to put them in...
    Notification Sounds - \Windows
    Ringtones - \My Documents\My Ringtones

All this took me about 4 days to figure out. Considering I didnt know a thing about Win Mobile....I think I did OK....:laugh2:

does your saga not lock when it screen backs out?
i looked at throttle lock but could not justify installing it

Everything locks down on my Throttle lock, including the side keys. One reason I wanted it was for that. I think it takes about 60 sec of doing nothing to lock. Once the code is punched in, things go back to my today screen. However, i do NOT have a check in "Lock on Startup."
I also do NOT have anything set up in the Lock program that came with the Saga.

I dont know if I answered properly, but I hope that helps....If not, I'll try and be more specific.

when the screen "blacks" out by default the entire phone including the side buttons are locked until you press the power button to unlock it again

    Check your "Wake Up" settings
    Settings-System-Wake Up Button.
Change from "Power button only" to "Any button"
That should fix that problem....its quite an annoying default setting that the Saga has.

oh nah that isnt my problem
i like it that way because it means that i have to purposely push in the power button in order to unlock the phone so when its in my pocket there is no chance of "phantom calling" for me
pretty much like you having to put in the code where i only have to press one button

Really? I like it on the power button setting and wouldn't think of changing it. Otherwise it can wake up whenever it's bumpred, etc...
