The output text requires the UTF-8 character set to be visible.

I suspect that if it wasn't visible, it would pick something close, maybe a symbol set like you and Sherri saw?

EQBob, I see you have Core media player on there. I've tried to install that and it simply crashes for me. Did you have any issues getting it to go?

Apps that Make My Saga Sweeeeet

I think I finally got everything in order. I've had my Saga for about 2 weeks and have been reading on the forums and everywhere else for the "best" apps.
Here is my list....in DECENDING order of Importance to Me
    -- (D) = Device; (S) = Storage Card (8GB) --
    (D) 1. SPB Mobile Shell
    (D) 2. SPB Phone Suite
    (D) 3. Dashwire - for backup of contacts & Pictures
    (D) 4. Sprite Backup / SPB Backup (Part of Mobile Shell)
    (S) 5. SK Software - Like Norton Utilites used to be for Windows
    (S) 6. Skyfire - Browser
    (S) 7. SPB Weather
    (S) 8. LCG Jukebox - From Lonely Cat Games
    (S) 9. GoogleMaps - Still working on the Wi-Fi Positioning from WPS.
    (S) 10. ThrottleLock - I did NOT get ThrottleLauncher
    (S) 11. WiFi Monster
    (D) 12. BtMusic - To Enable Music and such onto Bluetooth
    (D) 13. Batti - Battery Program - Some basic sound & Visual changes
    (S) 14. SPB Screenshot
    (S) 15. SPB Online

    Screenshots
    1. ThrottleLock
    View attachment 6196

    2. Today Screen
    View attachment 6195

Today Screen - From Top Down
    1. Batti - The Small Red/Yellow Line at the top is the Battery Meter from Batti. When your battery is Full it extends to the Right and goes from yellow to green. When it is charging, the whole line is purple.
    2. Clock - Standard Clock that comes with the Saga
    3. Skyfire - Skyfire Search
    4. SPB Phone Suite - I like how this shows all of the icons.
    5. SPB Weather - I just like the weather on my home screen
    6. LCDJukebox - I dont have this running all the time, but when you have it running in the background it shows up on the today screen in the corner, pretty cool software integration.

Hope this helps anyone that is just getting this phone...

No, but to get it to work, i.e. play video, I had to choose a different video setting than the default install.

    @ fitfestus...

batti is pretty sweet...thanks! had a similar app on all my q's and find it invaluable to see batt status on all sub screens. there are a bunch out there but I went with yours and love it!

now to find the hack to turn off the stock lame 30% popup/alert noise and beyond!

Programs on my phone finally compiled a list.

    1. SPB Mobile Shell version 3 which ROCKS
    2. S2U2 the slide to unlock program
    3. S2V Its a program so you can look at your pictures and slide through them it works along with s2u2 to make them easier to set.
    4. S2P a full screen music player
    5. 1-2-Remote (trial for now) which lets me control the music around my house from my phone through the wifi so I dont have to keep going and changing the song manually, go ahead call me lazy but its fun.
    6. Air Horn stupid little app that when i press the screen makes an airhorn sound, fun to mess around with people with.
    7. Batti the battery program to see how much battery is left on the top of your screen at all times on all screens.
    8. BT Audio to listen to music playing on the phone through my bluetooth headset.
    9. Facebook app pretty self explanitory (dunno how to spell that)
    10. Google Maps with google latitude.
    11. WPS the wifi/cell tracking program integrates awesome with google maps.
    12. I-Nigma for an easy way to get apps installed on the phone from freewarepockpc.net takes picture of a scan code and installs the program you requested.
    13. The Magic Button pretty much a program that acts as a task manager ontop of page.
    14. Palringo best application for instant messaging in my mind, combines aim, google, and every other messenger for the most part into one app and you can send pictures and record sound bites to send to people via instant message.
    15. Pandora to listen to internet radio.
    16. Pocket Scrobbler which streams my last.fm account again its internet radio like it more than pandora because it doesnt play similar artists it only plays artists you enter in.
    17. PDAnet to tether my phone to my laptop.
    18. Pocket Express has a bunch of things to give me score updates, US News, World News, Movie Times, Tech news, Entertainment news, pretty much all news you would want haha.
    19. Pocket Sportscenter which gives you live score updates for NHL, NFL, NBA, NASCAR, and other sports has baseball but its not working properly right now for baseball everything else works.
    20. Qik which is a program to stream live video that you take from your phone onto the net, and the site stores your videos as either private or public depending on what you set it as when you film the video. As you film its on the site what you are filming.
    21. Slingplayer Mobile used with my slingbox so i can stream live tv on my phone from my house.
    22. Youtubeplay to play videos from youtube without having to go to youtube.com
    23. SPB Screenshot a screenshot program.
    24. SPB Weather integrates very nicely with the mobile shell version 3.
    25. Trapcall which is a program that isnt directly installed on your phone but its a service so that you can unblock blocked numbers when they call you, no more annoying crank calls :)

Ok thats all for now :) I'm sure ill be installing more soon thats just what i have right now after exactly 2 weeks today of owning the saga, which is the best phone ever as you all are aware.
