I ran across this site...it's got some good links to good weather sites. A good starting point to get where you want to go and it's got links to some of the mobile weather sites as well.

I tried downloading Memory-Map Weather and it said that my device was not supported and would not install.

    Another vote for Weather Watcher.

You can also google for Dash Weather and Connected Bits Weather. Both work on the Q and are free, but I like Weather Watcher best.

One note, Weather Watched doesn't work for many people on MOL2. If you update to MOL3, it should definitely work.

im not sure...i believe that most of the weather programs pull there information off of the net so you could install it but i dont think it would work since there wouldnt be data to be received

yea, i think Scott is correct... not to dis you or anything, but to me almost all Qool things available on the Q require a data plan.

Yes, and no. Fizz Weather, for example, has a setting to update only when connected via ActiveSync. It will use your PC's connection to the Internet. It's not free.

I have tried both Weather Watcher and DASH Weather.

WW doesn't run (We're sorry, a problem has occurred...) on my Q, which I thought was MOL3 (just bought, has the 2007 DST addition, and I put .net 2.0).

DASH Weather runs nicely, and I can pull just the forecast, just the radar image, just the animated radar image, or just the current weather. And I believe the radar over the forecast, sorry weather guys....

Since at this time I'm treating the data connection as "just for emergencies" and am without a data plan, this is great for me.

You probably have MOL2 and that's why WW doesn't work. Do you have the DST Patch in add/remove or does DST just work with what's in ROM? Later would indicate MOL3, former MOL2, most likely.

hmz, maybe i'll try Dash... even though like Weather Watcher it also need .NET 2...

regardless: the statement it should work with MOL3 is false..

So, after paying for the software, as long as I set it to:

    Docking Updates: ON
    Download Data Only if Docked

it won't charge me data downloads via VerizonWireless, but instead use my PC DSL line to get the necessary info when I auto-sync?

Yes. In theory, that's what should happen. Might want to post that exact question in the Fizz Weather forums just to make sure.

I like Dash Weather. It has a pretty clean interface and pulls alot of information. How does WW compare?
