This one? http://www.scottschrob.com/q/wm6.1/RSD Lite 4.2.rar
If the phone won't charge by the USB cable, then I would suspect the physical connection - either the USB Cable or the port. I've had pocket lint cause connections before - a can of compressed air fixed that. If the battery is too depleted, then the USB cable often won't charge. Does the factory charger work?
Yes, that one. However, I checked in Device Manager and the phone is using a Microsoft Driver. How do I get the system to use the Motorola driver instead???
Apparently that is not the problem. I booted the phone into Flash Mode and it did use the Motorola driver... :frown:
Sorry for taking up so much space... Not making much progress. Shayne
I want to know whether the update does anything to fix voicemail password entry. just about EVERY time i go to check my voicemail, the phone never accepts all the keystrokes. ie. if my password was 12345, i'd start entering and only get 1245 even though i hit every key. So annoying. It takes the whole entry the second time typically.
Alltel Q9c Insurance Replacement has 6.1
Can't get my new q9c to intall the update.
My computer which is using Vista is saying that it can't find the appropriate driver so the updating process failed. I have downloaded the new drivers from motomodding but can't get it opened up. Please help. Thanks in advance.
Woo hoo!!!! Q9m 6.1 !!!!
WOO HOO! OH YEAH! 6.1 in 10 minutes!! This is AWESOME! :laugh2: Now to see if Intellisync will work.:laugh2: Wish me luck.
Start > Settings > Phone > Call Options. At "Voice mail number," enter pp12345#. Voila - that should work! (I have verizon for the record, I don't know how Sprint works.)
I was able to use the same cable to connect to a friends laptop with no problems. I was able to see the charging icon. This laptop had no Motorola drivers installed incidently. On my computer I've installed the Motorola drivers, but it doesn't appear to be using them. (The best I can tell.)
I think the problem is in my computer, not phone or cable, but I can't figure out what's wrong. My computer is running XP with SP3.
I'v made progress. I'm now "Creating image file" which completes, but I'm now failing on "Error processing flash file". I've downloaded and unzipped the file again - just in case. Into what directory should the file be decompressed?
i forgot this has copy paste! wow nice!
sorry, but how do I know which os I have?
And it looks like 9 files are created during the "Creating Image File" process. Is that the correct number?
Do you have vista or xp?
Cool thanks everyone flash went fine. Will let you all know if I have any problems.(crossing fingers)
What good is the zoom out left key when viewing web pages or anything else for that matter? I could use a zoom in x2 instead!
Update: Intellisync Mobile Suite V8 works on WM6.1 should anyone want to know.
Still playing this. This has made my 10 month old phone a brand new toy!!! Hee Hee! I'm as giddy as a school girl peeking into the boys bathroom.....(...um....nevermind...)
yea, pretty slick... (minor downside, does not work everywhere... but better then not at all right :}
agreed... quite useless :}
i sorta kinda know how you feel.. even though my Q is only ~3 months old, it's even more fun playing with it now :}
