    Voicemail problems

I need to check my voicemails!!

When I dial the *86 for my voicemail, and it asks for the password, it does not recognize the numbers when i put them in. Is there something I am doing wrong, or is anyone else having this problem?!

Do you hear tones when you press the numbers? What exactly does it say?

I don't hear anything, no tone, nothing, i type in my password and press the # key, and the voice just keeps saying "please enter your password"

Is your phone on silent? If so, try change your profile to Normal.

yup, i've tried that already, and nothing. Is there something i'm missing? What exactly do you do when you check your voicemail, step by step if you dont mind.

I know this sounds retarded, but this should be pretty easy and it's not working.

I press and hold '1'. Then wait for the system to ask for my password. I enter in my password using the black number keys (ex 1234) and press pound.

My experiences with the Verizon store is this...

You may want to just call 611 and talk to a data technical support person. When I went to my local store, they just gave me the phone to talk with the tech support. So.. with that said.. you may want to just try calling before you get to the store. (Just my .02)

i got it figured out. It was because I turned off the DTMF tones, which I guess controls whether the phone recognizes your key strokes while in a call, I think. Never the less, it works now.

    Thanks though
