    Verizon Visual VoiceMail

My wife just upgraded to the Omnia... while I am a "little" jealous of her, the thing that I am EXTREMELY JEALOUS about is the fact that she has Visual VoiceMail.

Has anyone used this yet? I like how it works and would love to have it on my SAGA. Anyone know of a substitute until it is release for the SAGA?

(Would love to get FM Radio to work on the SAGA to)

What about the visual voicemail do you like? There is YouMail which i use that I love it. When voicemails come in you get an email telling you that you have a new voicemail and you can listen to it on the computer. You can set custom voicemail greetings for each person and everything. There is a feature too where you can see what they say in text also.

Than there is dashwire which I havent used but here is a quick write up on it that i just found...
"Dashwire has created an application for Windows Mobile phones that lets you manage your phone’s content (address book, text messages, photos, videos, etc.) from an online dashboard. This tool can be extremely useful for backing up your address book and other mobile content before switching wireless carriers."

Hope this helps. YouMail is def the way to go in my mind though :)

you have to pay for the visual voicemail in youmail now...visual voicemail as in an email or some other method that writes out your voicemail so you dont technically have to listen to it

i do like youmail though...and have used it for a long while now

If you haven't seen Verizon's VVM, what I like about it is the fact that it is an application that shows a list of all your VM's and you just click on the one you want to listen to. No fumbling through menu's pressing "1", "7", "9", etc...

You can also archive messages and save them to your phone!!!

From my understanding, Verizon... its available on multiple phones, even as a BREW app on the non-windows phones from my understanding. ( this assumption is based on the fact that the directions to get it directs people to Get-it-now & VZApp Zone)

I have considered WebBased radio stations, but the FM radio on the Omnia actually uses local radio stations, it acts as an actual radio!

Not yet available for the Saga.

I'm not going to pay $3/mo for it.

but the Omnia requires a corded head phone to use the radio as that is its antenna.
Its reception left much to be desired.

True - but I can't even get an app to run on the SAGA to try the Headphones/Antenna.

"...Called up my congressman and he said <quote> I'd love to help you son but you're too young to vote..."
"...cuz there ain't no cure for the summertime blues..."

Just read it was 104 here today, as an official temp, which is measured in the shade. Sunlight probably 10-15 higher than that. Tomorrow supposed to get to 108.

Everybody except me is bitching about it.... I happen to love it <G>
