Wow, that is a very steep price! Makes me rethink getting one next week. Given the difference in pricing I may change my thought process now. Can anyone else confirm the 22nd release date instead of the 20th? And can anyone else confirm the pricing on the Q9m? This is depressing news to me!

Someone posted an internal verizon document on hofo that that info is from so it looks pretty accurate. I'll call my rep on the 22nd and find out.

    Pricing

Eh, the original Q was $429 retail when it came out. My only reservation would be that, if it really has the same internals as the current Q, it shouldn't cost that much more.

Of course, maybe WM 6 and an (arguably) better keyboard is worth the difference.

I'll still be waiting to check out the Samsung i760 Pocket PC Phone (er, WM 6 Professional Smartphone), which supposedly drops in September.

Way too much money for what they are offering. Vcast is not worth $150-200 more.

in fact, i'm sure you can get it for as low as $99. I don't think one could combine $100 ADD with NE2 or with the online discount. BUT you CAN add NE2 with the online discount... so either way, you can get the phone $99 online or in stores if you are eligible for an upgrade. In stores, it'll be $350, $50 mail in rebate, $100 NE2, and $100 ADD, and you'll end up with $99 for a new q9m. Online, it'll be $299, with the $100 online discount, and $100 NE2 and you too will need up with it for $99. either way...... it's $99 :)

    What's the testman site?

Sorry to ask such dumb questions, but I've never seen a reference to that.

    Thanks...

No it wont. It is only a verizon website content testing site before actually putting it up on the main vzw site...

    Discounts

I recall reading that you now can combine the Advanced Devices Discount with New Every 2. However, I think the NE2 is only $50, and I think the online discount is basically the ADD.

But I don't work for Verizon, so I could be wrong. :gasp:

So, I'm having a tough time deciding on if I want to switch to the q9m or stay with a pocketPC phone. I'm not too tech savvy but I have used my samsung i730 for the last 2 years. I'm not sure if I am going to like or hate a smartphone as compared to a PDA phone? Does anyone have an opinion that could help me out? Hope I'm not bugging anyone with this question. Any info anyone can offer would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
