Using Stand Alone Outlook - Don't Buy

    I am returning my new Samsung Focus Windows 7 phone it will not Sync with stand alone Outlook I cannot believe that what a disappointment

    It does not work that well I an staying with my q9h until they fix that you should be able to sync stand alone window outlook to a windows phone you would think.

    That's why I just got a brand new still in the box moto q global on ebay for 125. Why did they leave the outlook sync out you can sync outlook with iphone, blackberry & android but not with windows mobile 7....not the brightest idea

    I feel your pain. But... you should really give synching through the cloud a try. Once you've tried it, you'll never go back.

    Seems like they just wanted to focus on media syncing with the new Zune software update. Maybe bookmark and outlook syncing will come in the January update.

    At first I was confused too. However, downloading the extender builds the sync feature into outlook. It creates your own folders that merge with hotmail. Then you move whatever info you want to these folders, still use the outlook interface. It then autosyncs with hotmail and with the phone. I find it better than the old active sync. It works with uploading docs and pictures via hotmail as well. I am pleased with it so far. I just don't like zune syncing lol

    There is still no way to show notes in contacts and you can not sync task even if using exchange.... this is a windows phone...outlook is windows permiere features...why did they leave it out????? dumb move

    I don't understand what email account you can sync with Outlook but not OTA with your Windows Phone. Is it some sort of Exchange account that doesn't have ActiveSync?
