no sir i did not:wink:
still got my original Q
I noticed that after I made my comment. Foot in mouth:laugh2:
I take it this update is for Verizon users only...
was not aware of that, now i am... <ugh> :}
I'm on Alltel and it's working... different download maybe but there IS an update (same date as posted here).
Installing now, we'll see what happens.
Let me tell you though, seeing the words "Formatting complete drive" is a little scary.
Well, it worked... not sure what the update does but my phone is still functional.
Time to start re-installing software I guess. Was kind of bummed not to see WM6
If u want to correct someone, at least have the correct information.
The cause of strep throat is bacteria known as Streptococcus pyogenes, or group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus. NOT Streptobacillus moniloformis. S. moniliformis is the cause of a type of illness known as rat-bite fever, it is transmitted to humans who have been bitten or scratched by an infected animal. Just thought u might want to know.:smile:
wow..... bitten by a rat, that's can't be good :}
What if I've never experienced any roboots? Are there any other noticeable advantages of updating?
Not that I've seen (yet) although it's nice having a fresh build, always faster when you start from scratch.:2cool:
What's the latest verdict on this update. Is it worth doing?
My very non-scientific, untested theory is that it seems to have stopped the random re-boots.
Thanks for your feedback. Anyone else care to comment?
My .02...Not worth the hassle of reloading all the software....Seemed a faster boot up...but as someone else pointed out that could be the result of a system clean out after the master reset.
Thanks Scott. That was my concern since I have quite a few programs that would have to be restored. I hate to go through that process if the pay-off isn't significant.
I can CONFIRM that this update is well worth the time and effort IF you have the re-boot issue. My phone has NEVER randomly rebooted since this update, and I have re-loaded everything back onto my phone. Further more, I have even gone to web pages and ran programs that I KNEW would reboot my phone....
Moral of the story, random re-boots = MUST HAVE UPDATE.... will fix your problem...
Well, I have had random reboots, so, maybe I should give it a try. If I use Sprite Backup to restore everything after the update, does that potentially cause problems? It would certainly be quicker than manually reinstalling the apps and reconfiguring email.
