    UC Web Browser

Anyone try this out yet? I have been looking for the smartphone version and I keep getting a chinese version of the (non-java) browser. Maybe they have not updated the smartphone version yet.

it is pretty good. Mainly for wap and mobile but opera mini takes too long and skyfire doesnt have much other than fake flash. This does copy and paste of any text and has a clipboard so you can copy and save multiple things. I would say it is better than opera mobile. I have it as the main on my Q and will be till i find a better one or till skyfire has other shit with it, ie better volume control, other features and not so battery and ram dependent.

Still gibberish for me also...It really does look promising. Hope they get the English fixed. Both Java versions work for me...

I finally found a java version that works, I still like Iris. Maybe when the non-java version gets fixed it will be better.

Have UCWEB/Smartphone working on my Q9m/c

I finally got UCWEB to stop using "Symbol" ttf on my Q9m/c. I inserted the font enclosed in the zip below into Windows/Fonts. Then D/L'ed the CAB using Opera Mini 4.2 and installed it...and it worked. Screen shots below.

I am really liking the UCWEB browser(WM6 smartphone version). It is Very Quick. It has many settings and file D/L options. You can assign a D/L folder in the SD Card. This worked for me on the Q9m/c but, for some reason, will not work on the Nap. I still get the Symbol font on the Nap.

Just got it Working on the Nap!!

This is looking like it might be a good browser....These are some of the optional "skins".

To get it working on the Nap I used the Re-Named font in the Zip below. It is Segoe Condensed Bold actually. It replaces the Monotype Sorts (Symbols) font in the Windows folder. Doing this caused the UCWEB program to use the re-named font. (At least that's how it appears). Un-zip and drop the font inWindows. It will ask to overwrite tell it yes. Turn Off/On....UCWeb should work.
