    Tower Upgrade

Does anyone know if ATT has a way to update the Tower information. I know a lot of services give a number like *267 or something like that.

I haven't seen anything like that for AT&T, and I've looked around. I'll post here if I find anything.

I just talked to AT&T tech support today and asked that very question. The tech said no, everything automatically updates. Who knew? :tounge:

He also said they were knocking themselves out to expand 3G everywhere because of the 3G iphone. At least we'll benefit from that!

On CDMA carriers it's called A PRL. Preferred Roaming List. On Verizon, you dial *228 and then press 2. On Sprint, you call them and ask to flag your account for a PRL update.. then you call back and it updates OTA.

On AT&T, the simple way is to just remove the battery and reinsert, it'll connect to the strongest/closest tower available.
