Pointui has been working well for me on my q9h (aka AT&T Q Global).

I was a little nervous about installing it after reading problems some folks had experienced (see pointui forums for details), but I haven't had any problems at all.

    1. Agenda one
    2. Coreplayer
    3. Oxios todo list
    4. Sprite
    5. Slingplayer

it is hard to pick just 5. Adgenda one, and coreplayer are absolute musts, oxious is quick simple and powerfull. Sprite, well because you have to, and i ftp backup to the web, so no space taken on phone. Slingplayer i just love, but verizon service sucks so is constantly buffering and dropping feed.
    6. Honorable mentions, ct birthday, ct scheduler (silences phone at night) live search resco system tools, documents to go.

Thanks to all for the great ideas you have given me. In the past several days I've made a few purchases and some free downloads based on ideas I got here.

I had asked for your top 5 because I really, reeeeallly wanted to know what aps were indispensible ~ the very best ~ so I could know how to best spend my money. Shoot, I think I spent too much!!

The one ap I am dragging my feet on is the Vito Ringtone Editor. I need more info on it. I've been installing software and doing lots of things with my Q9h, but I've put off the ringtone thing till I have everything else like I want it. Well, I'm very close to that now.

I know Vito Ringtone Editor edits ringtones 'on' the phone. Does that mean you can take a whole song and chop out the part you want for your ringtone right on the phone and then use it right away?? If so, it sounds like what I will definitely need for my ringtones.

    Thanks,
    jb0615

How can no one live without CANDLELIGHT! Or any other back light dimming software. I almost tossed my Q and was going to get a Blackberry because my battery life was so shitty (12 hours standby on standard battery >_<) before I got candlelight. Now i can actually use my Q without worrying about it dieing half way through a call, or having to carry that clunky big battery

Even when I had the original Q I didn't see the need for candlelight. Some swear it saves battery life, I never saw a difference so i removed it from my phone.

I probably wasn't using it right. Now it's a moot point as I have the Q9c.
