No it's a pay app and worth the money if you need what it does for your homescreens. If not find one of the many screens without it.

Can this be used if you don't have the tethering feature on your plan?

Can it be used instead of purchasing the tethering feature on the plan?

    Thanks

Worldmate is a great free app that does weather, conversions (for currency, sizes, and units of measure), world time, and world maps. Do not let Handango fool you. This app is free! The publisher (Mobimate.com) charges a subscription fee ONLY IF you want to use it’s flight status and satellite imagery services.

Documents to Go. It's included on my version of the Q. I use Word to Go to make notes. I use Excel to Go to balance my checkbook. I use PDF Viewer to Go to read while I'm on the commuter train.

Pocketplayer, AudibleAir, and Audiobay cause I’m a podcast junkie.

I remember trying this a year ago and don't remember it as being free. Great find will help me so much on my next trip. Easy to use, already got it setup for times and currency for home, Morroco and South Africa.

    Thanks so much.

You're welcome! I just discovered this yesterday myself. I loved this app when it came preloaded on my Tungsten C, but I just could not bring myself to spend $40 on it.

I recommend going to Mobimate directly to get the free app. I seems like there's no way to get out of paying for it on Handango or Pocketgear.

Another tip, whenever I find a free app that I like, I download all of the versions (Palm, Window Pro, Blackberry if there is a Blackberry version, etc.) That way, if I switch platforms I don't have to try and hunt for the freeware (which has often turned into payware by that time). I learned this the hard way.

    Candlelight

Hey guys, first-time poster, thanks for all the good info...

I have downloaded Candlelight, and used ActivSync to put it on my Q, but when i try to open it in file manager, it tells me "There is no application associated with Candle~1. Run the application first and then open this file inside the application". I don't know what application to open it in. Scott, I saw you had mentioned trying Documentstogo, but i don't have that on my Q....

Are you using the Q's file manager and not your PC's? Also did you move the whole cab intact to your Q? This only works on the Q not the Q9's.
