thanks dude :}
Be aware that Qcaps does not work with the new AT&T Q9h. I just bought a copy through everythingQ software store only to find out after i installed it that i got about 5 errors. i went to Qoolapps.com and on their forum it says that it doesn't support the new q9h and hes not sure he is ever going to support moblie 6 operating system.Too bad, after reading what everyone said about it i really wanted it.
that blows indeed... it's hard to imagine i ever did without it.
At first I thought one of my favs "Powertasks" was not compatible with the Q9h Global because I downloaded the trial version at the eq store and it didn't work. Not content with giving up I searched and come to find the updated version on the developers site worked fine!! So I'm happy for that.
So some of my favorites from my new & old Q are...
-PowerTasks(tried them all, hands down the best!!)
-GoogleMaps(Gotta Love it!!)
-SmartphoneNotes(Great for notes)
-Windows Live Search(Love the new "Speak" feature!!)
-Resco File Explorer 2007(Because the Q9h file manager is locked down!!)
Still on the look-out for new favorites!!
So what exactly does it do?
So what is it already?
there are several extensive threads on it
search for smarttoolkit
-Sent from my Q
or check their web site... already :}
My personal favorites are Facade, Google Maps, Live Search, pdanet, wmStorage, vieka wordpad, and TCPMP. I love this phone SOO much better than anything ive ever had before. And with the help of the MANY people here its better than i ever thought.
Windows Live Search, w/GPS, right? And "Speak" feature? Please elaborate. I use google maps, but always looking for the latest and greatest.
the new speak feature in this program is you can 'talk' to the app and tell it where you want to go rather than typing it in
how is papyrus? better than agenda one? any problems
Both programs and Extreme Agenda have trials. Best to try all 3 and see which works for you. I use Agenda one and some prefer the others. I feel all are good PIM's and it's personal choice as some may be stronger in some areas than others.
does anyone know a good home screen plugin besides facade that does tasks and schedule in one screen. facade i have to use the tabes and I want the tasks on the calendar.
besides Facade, there is Oxio but it only does tasks.. i do not know of others.
my question would be out of all the programs listed and me getting a Q9m what programs should I install I have like 50 but I am not sure which ones to install first.......specifically should I install facade and smarttoolkits or one or the other......what file manager should I install Total Command or Resco Explorer......any other program I need like candlelight phm reg editor or rightmenu or basic hue.....I am just not sure what I should install so a beginners list be nice....thanks
You should try a few different ones based on what you want to do and see how they work on your phone and if you like them. If you don't like it, then just uninstall.
SmartToolKit and Facade do different things. I have both installed on my Q9c, and I would recommend both. You should also install a new PIM (I use Papyrus). Resco Explorer is also nice to have as both a file manager and a registry editor. You should also definitely install Windows Live Search or Google Maps (or both). Also, I recently decided to try out phoneAlarm (gives you great control over profiles, notifications, alarms, etc.), and it is working very well. TCPMP is also a must.
Edit: forgot to mention Opera Mini (so much better than PIE) - though, you will need to install JBed to run it.
GoogleMaps (free GPS locator on the 9h)
I really dont have much more than that installed. I add and delete as needed. I am a freeware junkie, but Facade is well worth the price.
what is candlelight?
its a program that allows you to dim your screen
