(wonders if licorice can replace leg irons)

There is about to be another derailing. I might lose my caboose this time.

It is no secret, that I did not sleep night before last. Last night thankfully I was able to catch some z's, not nearly enough though.

Here is what I want to know from the wise group of people here. What do you do to relieve insomnia? Other than a script or an OTC. I have enough of that, I am avoiding the moth, Lincoln, that beaver and the astronaut...

    To relieve insomnia?
    Gee, I come here...
I find that it helps if I find something to occupy my mind till the point of exhaustion. Reading works too. Tv not so much because the auditory input tends to keep you alert rather than tiring you out.

LOL so do I Paco...I have read but that has not worked in the last few days, I dont really watch tv so that is not the problem. maybe i should start doing a late night stroll when my little guy goes to sleep (dont worry I dont leave him along lol) Our neighborhood is safe, but I dont need to be more keyed up and that is a concern.

Thanx for the info Paco :)

My remedy for insomnia can't be told on this family oriented forum. But given Rudeboy's deprived statement earlier, I'll give you 3 guesses!:tounge:

If I guessed right, that always works for me too...
You could also try melatonin (doesn't count as a drug since your body produces it anyway...)

    does it have three letters.

Deprivation is in the eye of the beholder. One who sees deprivation must hve personal knowledge.

BTW THR! i sent u an email. let me know if/when u get it.

We are having Easter early at my BFF house.

nothing wong with relieving the "stress". It has a health aspect for men as well.

normaly I will troll here if I can't sleep, most times it takes a few hours for the caffiene level to drop enough for it. Downside is that may leave me 5-6 hours. Had many days where I never went to sleep, not fun. :-(

THR! we won't discuss your side job as a product tester..... j/k? :)

I have insomnia a few times a year (You have been there with me for one of them! LOL) but it's not considered "chronic".
When it does happen I get out a book of poems and try to memorize a poem from it. I tell myself I have a "test" on it in the a.m. so I have to know it. Put's me to sleep every time. :O) There is just something about having to "study" that puts me to sleep every time!
    Mind games.
Plus I have learned several poems in the process.
(some of them are not for polite company) LOL
