    Text message sounds

I've searched the forums for an answer, so if I missed it, I apologize. Is it possible to use a downloaded ringtone as a text message sound? I've downloaded about 8 different ringtones, one of which I was hoping to use as a new text message tone. Problem is I can't select it. Anybody have a way I can do this?

MP3's & Mid1 files, in the RingTone folder. I didn't see a folder for text sounds.

    mid1 files wont work
    mp3s will
put them in \application data\sounds or the root directory of your SD card (if you have one)

I have a q9h and I have the same issue. I have ringtones I've made with MPT back when I had my rzr and I copied them to my q via the activesync and both ringtones show up when I goto Settings>Sounds under ring tone but for every other sound option they are unavailable. I use them for my ring tone so I know they work and play fine, they simply do not show up on any of the other drop down menus for my other sound options.
