    Text/Email/Contact Questions

Hello all new here with the Moto q9.. love it so far...

A couple of questions... As I am brand new to a smartphone...

Is there a download or some other way I can increase my text messaging limit from only 160 characters (I have verizon if that helps)...

Also is there a way to download Java etc to see Java websites.. I seem to be having trouble viewing some java enhanced sites

Also is there a good Remote backup add on for Contacts?

    Thanks

160 characters is the standard to txt messaging, if you go over that it will simply send it via two messages. I did have a phone once that was clever enough to join them back together again if I recieved a txt which was over 160 characters long but it's not something that the Q can do as far as I'm aware.

Since you are on Verizon, Text (SMS) and MMS/Picture messages are basically the same when you have a messaging plan, you can send via MMS for more charaters...that's what i do.
if it requires more than a text, then use the MMS, and if it requires more than the MMS limit, then that warrants you to pick up the phone and make the call!
