@ Crupp, how often are you getting connection popups?
\from my Q (on Teashark)
everytime I first access and when I whenver i click on a link. Confirmed will not play a You Tube video
Which java emulator are you using. I'm using Jbed, and the popup only appears before I visit the first site. I choose the option that says Ask Me Next Session, and it doesn't popup again unless I exit the program and come back. I'll see if it can be suppressed like Opera Mini's connection popup.
I can confirm that the Opera Mini fix to get rid of the connection popup also works for Teashark.
I tried creating a start menu shortcut in the same manner as described for Opera Mini, but it did not work. I just get a white screen. I definitely used the correct Suite # based on the filed in the Windows/Appdb folder, but it does not load. I have to run Jbed first and start through its launch menu. A little bit of a hassle . . .
Anyway, while the browser itself can be slow, it looks promising and could really be nice with continued development. It's definitely worth a try (especially for those who might not have their Skyfire beta yet). I'll post a few more thoughts after I play with it some more tonight.
using it now to post
pointer takes some getting used to, thing is sensative. Kinda slow, but I have high quality images selected. Very promising
Do you have the pointer set to Free Roaming On or Off?
didn't even check...may have to fire it up again. That darn pointer was making me dizzy.
did you have any issues trying to type in a url? keep on typing thr same letter until I hit cancel
I don't have my Q in front of me at the moment, but if I remember correctly, when you use the Go To choice on the left softkey menu, and it brings up the input box for the URL, if you push the left softkey again, it'll bring up another menu - if you select Edit from that menu, it'll bring you to Jbed's text editor input box where you can type in the URL.
ahhh, will have to remeber that. Its neat, but very slow right now. Hopefully that will get fixed in next version
Yes, it is slow. Hope they can do something with it in the future b/c it could be great.
i am having issues...with my D pad and its button for selection...i think its a Qcaps conflict.
im gonna work on it but very promissing thanx rainmakerrc
No problem. I hope the developers can really do something with it. It's a pretty good start.
anybody else having problems entering text? Whenever I go to type in a web address, the letters stick. going to everythingq.com ends up eeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr....well you get my point... to get it to work right, i have to double click every letter very quickly. Any ideas?
hey it was the Qcaps..interferes wth other stuff as well.
Very promising...i likey
read a few posts back for the text entering problem
it looks very promising, i agree.. opera mini seems to work more flawlessly.. more intuitive.. although, opera mini has had a few go-arounds..
maybe they'll keep working on it..
i don't like the fact that you have to press number keys to zoom and other functions.. i'd rather just use the d-pad
If you're zoomed out all the way, then you can use the center button to zoom in, but to zoom out you have to go into the menu or number keys.
Interesting app; has good potential. But it's still in beta form, so we will have to see where it ends up.
will there be ne browser that can compete with skyfire?
considering I don't have skyfire...umm yes
