    something other than a motoq

ok so today the charge plug on my q came completely out of the phone this morning, leaving me with no way to charge it,which leaves me needing a new phone. i was wondering if any one can tell me if you could pick any winmo phone for att service, which woud you choose and why. i dont like slider phones, and i would really like one with wifi. the wifi is not a deal breaker, but it would be nice to have for what i do since 3g is so very sporatic where i live.

..desktop charger. Just thinking of the cheapest route. Should only take them a few min to re solder the plug back in.

Where do you find someone to solder it if you can't do it yourself?

thats right - you just remove your battery and put it into the desktop charger and there you go - some of them have their own power supply and others use the original - i would do a searh by maybe the model number of the battery and then charger like "motorola bt60 charger" - you can type that in on ebay or google and you should find many results -

    best of luck to you...

i have been playing with my aunts jack and it seems nice - the only thing i have noticed that i did not like on it so far was that you had to remove the battery to get to the memory card slot - other than that seems ok and does have built in wifi -

    have fun!

I would guess a r/c car shop or electronics repair place should be able to do it. You may have to pop it open or have distructions handy

    1. If the Q is under waranty, ATT should fix it for free.
    2. If you have insurance, ATT should fix it, less the deductable.
    3. See if ATT will swap out the phone if they have one available or can can
find one nearby. May charge small fee.
    4. Use a desktop charger to charge the battery.
    5. Find the same model on the web for the right price
    6. ATT may be able to repair for a fee if not covered under 1 & 2.

If you watch videos or listen to music on your Q (I don't), it would be a pain to open the back everytime you wanted to change from your music card to your video card and back to your phone card.

    Good Luck!
