just so I don't have to bug cheryl too often:wink:
there is a support email on their website...
Saw the support for the forums, will give that a try since it was so late last night.
they do usually try to work things out as quickly as they can.
for anyone else, the folks at skyfire can be reached directly @
ok, to anyone who's having problems logging in to skyfire try signing up again, it's all fixed now. just re-enter the same email and enter the beta code you received
and here's what you would do to fix the login error if it happens again.
Hey Im up and running after experiencing some log in problems yesterday. I want to thank you PacoJr67 for all of your help. It is much appreciated!! :laugh2:
glad to be able to help
And this is why I want IE6 mobile.
I decided I was gonna use skyfire and made it the default browser.
Now it won't let me "login". I changed the password on the site and deleted the auth.txt files.
-edit- I got in not sure why but at least I can take the checkmark out of the default browser now.
when they made skyfire public they changed to a different server stack, something about that change is causing the authentication issues (among other things). just be patient, it will take some time to fix. remember they are a very small company
Im having trouble downloading Skyfire. Everytime I try to install the CAB file I get an error message "installation was unsuccessful" what gives?
what size is the cab you downloaded? it should be over 500k
The CAB file size is 368 B.......I never even heard of that. I got it from the site.
I'll let tony know when I get home from work, the file on the website may be corrupted...
I just updated my Skyfire b/c I got an email reminding me to do that just a few minutes ago. It was 555kb.
Have them send it to you with a text link on phone or download it to your PC.
I'm sorry you are having a problem but Paco will figure it out.
ok, I just downloaded it too and the file is ok, Tony cross checked on the server just in case. The problem could be with the IP, or carrier.
My bad y'all, had a brain-fart. I just had them sent a SMS and I downloaded it that way. I didnt see that option initially. Thanks for the help though, much appreciated!
Hey is anyone else getting a message saying "we are doing sever maitainence" and to "please try again later" when they try to open Skyfire? Have gotten that message for a few hours now......
Just tried...stuck in an endless loop of "authenticating" and "locating"...
Yup, I get that before I get the message.
I ended it. Don't want the battery to die. Having a problem with the AC chord. Charges in the car fine, but I am traveling in the morning and don't want a dead battery. (This is the first time in ages that I am leaving the phone totally "off")
