Nope. Not SMS in anyway. Its the fastest free as well as glitch free program I've ever used.
does it work with hotmail?
do you have to keep it running on the Q?
any problems sending email?
what are you using it with - yahoo, gmail, etc?
THANKS for all of your input.
does it work with hotmail? yep
do you have to keep it running on the Q? yep
any problems sending email? nope
what are you using it with - yahoo, gmail, etc? gmail...but compatible..yahoo..hotmail..etc...easy setup too
Dude, you aren't kidding...this thing is pretty awesome.
Wow.. it has a huge footprint though.
I'll install it regardless, see what the hype is about!
HOLY POOP! This program actually makes gmail WORK!
Has anyone else noticed that when SEVEN is running, which I understand is what needs to be done in order to get email, the phone slows waaaay down and gets a lot of lag? I am using the Q9C and with just SEVEN running, my Q becomes very slow.
Yes thats why i un-installed it.
i agree....not sure if it's worth having real time email on the Q or not...
i really like it, but it takes up a ton of space and really lags the Q's performance. hopefully they will address the speed issue in a future release..?
Stupid question, can you setup Seven to check several POP/IMAP accounts?
So last night I removed Seven and went back to using WLM to push my hotmail email. Seven did work, every email sent to me was pushed to my Q but it just slows the phone down so much that things start to lock up and the phone becomes totally usesless.
yes you can
I know, I think that I will only use it when I want it pushed "real time" - it can be convenient and it works great but it does ssslllloooowwwww down the Q tremendously.
I'm using SEVEN & Threshold hack. No problems with speed. I even go 24 hours before charging. Life is good. :laugh2:
If you aren't happy with this, then yes, uninstalling SEVEN is your best choice.
When you say "24 hours" on a charge, is that on the extended battery or the slim one?
Stock one that came with q9c so its the extnded. Regardless of battery size. I get same amount of time whether or not I use the hack. Just try it before u worry, everyone has their own preference. That's just my two cents if u really like the SEVEN.
Mail2web push email works flawless on my 9c...I'm going to try seven for my other email and see how it works.
Is Mail2web push free for gmail use on the Q9c?
Also I am testing out the SEVEN program and it seems to work in realtime when receiving a new email but if you delete the email from your inbox from the pc it doesnt delete it realtime on the Q9c. In fact it takes a few minutes to delete. Anyone else notice this?
I was just reading something on the Seven website. apparently IMAP IDLE is not supported. Gmail sends them a signal to check the mail, but for everything else, its no better than the built in mail, checking every 5 minutes. (The final version will apparently use SMS triggering).
I think I will stick to the Q9c's default Gmail since SEVEN doesnt work the way I want it to work for now.
Love seven....outlook access made easy...and no IT involvement....
